Supporters of Corinthians banned from bringing banners and instruments to South American match

In addition to being eliminated from the Copa do Brasil by Flamengo and owing money for Hugo Souza, Corinthians fans have another reason to lament. This is because the Military Police (PM) of São Paulo punished the organized groups of the São Paulo club after an attempted invasion of the Flamengo fans’ section at the Neo Química Arena.

Therefore, Gaviões da Fiel and Camisa 12 will not be allowed to bring musical instruments and banners to the next match of the club. The game will be against Racing (ARG), this Thursday (24), in the semifinals of the Copa Sudamericana

Flamengo ADVANCES WITH ONE PLAYER LESS

Flamengo‘s advancement was heroic at the Neo Química Arena. This is because the Rubro-Negro had Bruno Henrique sent off in the first half and had to play with one player less for most of the match. Even so, Flamengo managed to control the game and did not concede many chances to the São Paulo team. In the end, the match ended in a 0-0 draw, a result that qualified Mengo due to the simple victory at the Maracanã.

OWED MONEY FOR HUGO SOUZA

In addition to being eliminated, Corinthians had to pay for using Hugo Souza once again against Flamengo. Therefore, the São Paulo team made the payment of the R$ 500 thousand fine on Tuesday (22). With the settlement of the amount, the Rubro-Negro reached a total of R$ 2.5 million collected from the loan of the goalkeeper to the São Paulo team.

COPA DO BRASIL FINAL

Flamengo is in the final of the Copa do Brasil. After eliminating Corinthians, the Mais Querido will face Atlético-MG and is just two matches away from the fifth championship. The games are scheduled for November 3rd and 10th. The order of the matches, however, will still be defined in a draw at the CBF headquarters, this Thursday (24).
