against Criciúma on Saturday, Arrascaeta celebrated the one-year anniversary of Rio Sucrée, his confectionery in Barra da Tijuca, West Zone of Rio de Janeiro, on Sunday. The Uruguayan midfielder gathered friends, including his three fellow Rubro-Negro countrymen: De la Cruz, Viña, and Varela.

The bakery is run by his wife, Camila Bastiani, and chef Emanuel Pinheiro is a partner. Rio Sucrée has a signature cake that pays tribute to Arrascaeta, made with lots of dulce de leche. The player and his wife plan to expand the store to other neighborhoods in the coming years.

– I am extremely grateful for the warmth of the Cariocas and for all the support of the incredible team that accompanies me on this sweet adventure – Camila celebrated.

Arrascaeta and the other players reported back to training on Sunday morning at Ninho do Urubu, after the 2-1 victory over Criciúma on Saturday at Mané Garrincha. Arrascaeta provided the assist for Pedro’s first goal
