With his back to the field, the fan used too much force to throw the ball onto the field, causing it to stay inside the penalty area.

When Flamengo entered the box with Everton Cebolinha, midfielder Barreto decided to kick the spare ball against the one controlled by the Flamengo forward. The penalty was awarded and converted.

Edinho is now going viral on his social media, receiving a large number of followers and positive comments.

“You’ve done more for Flamengo than Wesley in 4 years,” one fan said. “Put a statue of this man at Gávea,” wrote another.

With some people asking Edinho to share his PIX key, the fan agreed and said he will have a barbecue with the money raised.
