Ferroviária
after joining
Flamengo to be part of Tite’s coaching staff.
His farewell at Locomotiva occurred after the goalless draw with São Bernardo, away from home, in Série C.
Júnior Rocha will be his replacement at the club in Araraquara (SP).
In his message, Bergantin highlights the partnership with the board, players, and all the employees of Ferroviária, stating that he continues to support the club.
– I thank the collaborators, directors, and players for the entire process, which was quite challenging at times but also very true. I am very grateful to the club’s management for supporting us in all the difficult moments we faced and for maintaining a high-level work structure. I made great friends in Araraquara, I was very happy during this time, we were able to achieve important numbers and accomplishments on the field. Now my support is with the team and the city. If I am leaving for a giant of Brazilian football, you have a lot to do with this. From the bottom of my heart, thank you very much – he wrote.
At Ferroviária, Vinícius Bergantin led the team in 26 matches, with 12 wins, 13 draws, and only one defeat, the only one in the year, against Noroeste in the A2 first phase.
In the state championship, he was eliminated on penalties by Juventus-SP in the quarterfinals and did not compete for promotion. In Série C, he leaves the team in fourth place, with 28 points and qualification for the second phase well underway.
