Pedro has scored nine goals and is the top scorer of the Brasileirão

Flamengo defeated Criciúma 2-1 on Saturday (20), in the 18th round of the Brasileirão. The first goal for the red-black team was scored by Pedro. With this goal, the striker reached nine goals in the competition and is now leading the tournament’s top scorer chart.

Pedro has been one of Flamengo‘s key players this season. In the Brasileirão, the attacker has impressive stats, scoring in the last three games of the team in the tournament. Hence, the number 9 netted goals against Cuiabá, Fortaleza, and Criciúma.

PEDRO SCORED AND MISSED A PENALTY AGAINST CRICIÚMA

In the match on Saturday (20), Pedro started as a starter for Flamengo. In the first half, the striker did not have many opportunities in the game. However, it was in the second half that number 9 showed up for the red-black team.

After Arrascaeta was fouled, Pedro took the penalty kick. Unfortunately, the striker didn’t take a good shot, and the Criciúma goalkeeper saved it. Nevertheless, Pedro redeemed himself and after receiving a pass from number 14, he scored the first goal for Mengão. Finally, Gabigol, from a penalty kick, sealed the final score of the match.
